Qatar Foundation Schools Commencement Film 2026: A Documentary Journey Across Seven Schools

How do you weave together eleven students, seven schools, precise wardrobe and prop briefs, and personal schedules caught between exams and travel, into a single coherent documentary in eight shoot days? For the Qatar Foundation Schools Commencement Film 2026, that was the puzzle Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education (PUE) network handed us.
With QF defining the students, the schools, the locations, the wardrobe, the props and the camera package from the start, our part of the project was orchestration: turning a detailed brief into a coherent film ready in time. It was unveiled at the QFS Class of 2026 ceremony on 3 June 2026 at QNCC, in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
Inside the Qatar Foundation Schools Commencement Film
Rather than a highlight reel, the film adopts a cinematic hybrid of documentary and vlog. Shot on location across the QFS schools, it grounds the graduating class in the everyday spaces that shaped them, capturing students in their own words and letting the campuses themselves speak through their sights and sounds.
Production and Post at Pace
The film was shot over eight days between 5 and 14 May 2026, then edited and colour-graded in-house at 1507.media. The tight window, running into the end of the school year and the Eid Al Adha holiday, meant that the schedule had to be reworked around eleven students caught between exams, travel plans and end-of-year commitments. Every planned scene was captured, and the film was delivered on time and screened without a hitch at the QNCC ceremony on 3 June.
